What's Not Said? (Noy and Venus Raj meet)

Taken from the Inquirer.net Website at http://www.inquirer.net

Purely a random thought while reading the paper today. He's single (not married), from a well-to-do family and legally the most powerful man in the country.

What's not said?

So when The President meets the 4th runner-up to Miss Universe, our Bb. Pilipinas Venus Raj, what's not said can be just as important as what is said.

Possible back-of-mind thoughts:

- Hey, I just got this new pad made last month. It's a bungalow and I've declared it the First Bachelor Pad.
- Wanna see it?
- My pad is practically new, it recently went through a major major renovation.
- Have you seen how long my convoy is?
- Hey, you know, I am the President.
-  Cheer up! its okay to make a mistake. You don't have to be a genius. My cousin was from Harvard Law and he also placed 4th.
- Chicks dig the plate. Its number 1.

- When I hang at Amber or any Club, I have a whole team check the place to make sure I don't even wait at the VIP lane. This happens even before I've decided to actually go there.

Really fresh Sushi in Japan

Super gross!

I love sushi but I don't like having to see the cow where my steak came from!

This video gives me the shivers. I'm so hungry but grossed out at the thought of my meal staring back at me and dying while I eat it's insides.

Nuckin futs!

MY UNBOXING! August 24 2010

MY UNBOXING! August 24 2010

My new toys arrived from the States care of my Tita Carrie! Thanks!

I got myself a new Xbox 360 to replace my first gen unit which I know was dying from a dead graphics card and a game for my Wii which has always been neglected but which is now back on the shelf. Super Mario Galaxy! Only because it got a ten from practically every game reviewer.

Also got a 500 Gig Seagate Barracuda XT which is a hybrid hard drive, part SSD part plate. Still feels great to unbox such things. :D The box of a hard drive was weird. It looked like a spiked bomb but I'm guessing that was to protect it from rough travel.

Back to 110v for me
Seagate Barracuda XT Hyrbid 500 Gig Hard drive
The New Power Brick is significantly smaller
This frees up one universal adaptor cause the new one uses squares na!
This was how I transferred licenses from the old system to the new.

CAMPI Car Show with Miggie

I went to the CAMPI Car Show at the World Trade Center with Miggie last Saturday.

Uncle Bobby gave me 2 tickets. Of course, I passed by the BMW booth to thank him if ever he was there.

Funny thing, the two receptionist like ladies at the front of the booth did not know who he was. The third saved the other two. Maybe they know him better as Demosthenes. Hala kayo!!! kidding aside it was an interesting show, but I had more fun taking pictures of Miggie next to the cars. Wasn't going for artsy but just snapshot like photos for memories sake.

I was looking at the car models and Miggie, ironically, was looking at the female models. haha She even pointed out that some of them had fake bumpers. The cars? no, the models!

Most of the higher end vehicles I feel I have become desensitized to because I see them all the time in the village. There's a house here that has all the top of the line Porsches at home. They can be seen through his transparent gate. The only unique car I saw was the Benz Gullwing but it's not my thing.

I liked the new Patrol but don't feel its worth it for the price. The Hyundai Genesis looked cool for a Hyundai. The model kept trying to jump backwards and land on the hood of the car but kept sliding off. She ended up looking like she was trying to hump the car.

The models from Honda seemed to be crowd drawers and they did look like they enjoyed the attention. The Toyota Alphard "luxury" van looking interesting but not my thing for 2 million pesos. I'd rather get an SUV like the older Nissan Patrol.

The Jeep Rubicon seemed like a good everyday car were it not for it's gas guzzling engine. The BMW Z4 is still a head turner and even better with it's stronger engine. The new 5 series seems like a great everyday driver's car. I'd like the new X5 just cause I'm used to the height.

The show was packed. We had to park across the World Trade Center. Luckily it was not scorching hot although Miggie had to deal with possible Marylyn Monroe moments.
