A Small Letter to the People that kept things together.
I'd like to thank my mom, who became the rock, the bacon and everything she had to be to keep us happy. Ever since Dad was killed, you were our pillar of hope, our source of food, security and love. I thank you mom for being there for me and loving me with all my shortcomings.
I thank you dad for inspiring me to persevere in law school. You showed me that I was never too old to learn new things. You instilled in me the importance of service, sacrifice and excellence. I wish with my heart that you were still with us to see me graduate. I miss you a lot and still wonder why you'd want me to take this path even if it was the same one that got you assassinated. I guess there must be something greater planned. Service and sacrifice right?
I pray Dad that you continue to guide me as I take the bar. To shelter mom, lala and I from harm and to continue to be by our side when we need you most.
Thanks for life, thanks for the opportunities, thanks for the friends I've met along the way.
To my dear Mother and Father, you now have 2 law graduates, with one also a lawyer, who are always waiting to make you even more proud by serving the way God wants us.
Thank you for this opportunity in life. I will do my best not to put it to waste.
Love,
Vic
P.S.
I also thank this Parker pen mom gave me in 1st year. She gave me a shinier one first but it got lost. Nonetheless, the pen has kept me through law school answering questions when I did not know the answer. This and my black Zara jacket did law school for me.
