I am very thankful for the blessings I have been receiving this whole week. I thank my mom and family, Miggie and my friends for all their well wishing. For the first time in a long time, I spent my birthday eve out enjoying.
Of course, I'm super happy with my toys.
The next few pictures show my new toys care of my kind family.
Looking back, I am very thankful I have been able to buy so many nice things. After getting my new gadgets I decided to hide the boxes in my closet. I realized I had so many other boxes from older tech toys so I dedided to do some spring cleaning and clear out these boxes to make space for my bags and new toys and toy boxes.
Does anyone remember the Discman? While everyone now complains about having a "regular" iPod for jogging when they "should" use a shuffle or nano with flash memory, back then, I was using a Discman with buffer technology to prevent, gasp, skipping music from CDs!
Oh how times have changed.
I found four more cellphone boxes which are not in the pictures. I sure went through a lot of phones. My favourites being the waterproof Nokia 6250 and the Nokia 8 series phones from the 8810, 8910, to the 8800 and now my Carbon Arte 8800.
Who needs a built-in sound card in the mother board when we had 16 bit Sound Blaster technology hogging up a whole card slot? LOL.
Do you complain about your DSL or Cable being only 6Mbps and not consistent? Damn! Back then we had 56k with V9 technology getting me enough speed to load my Hotmail in a blazing fast one minute!
Still one of my favourite game series, Red Alert still gets a few plays now and then. I can't believe they have it on the iPad now! We needed the best tech to play this back then.
But of course, out with the old and welcome new tech! Storage storage storage and of course, my token Blurays and Simpsons series DVDs.
Who would have thought using a PC on a 46" inch Sony LED would be so awesome? I didn't.
Well, I'll end this post with a thank you to all that made this possible. Thanks for starting my birthday off with a bang!

Who would of thunk it?
When I was saving for a TV I never thought I'd get the best sold here in the Philippines.
TVs here in the Philippines are taxed double, so, whatever you pay for a TV in the United States or Europe, you pay double here. I was planning on getting the lower EX series Sony.
As seen from this old scanned brochure I kept, I can't hold my gratitude to my mom for giving me the chance to get a TV from the higher end series sold here in the Philippines. Thanks again Mom!!!

Yes, Delayed Gratification is Worth It. Sony Bravia NX 46
Delayed Gratification does pay off.
Thanks to my mom, my birthday came a bit early this year, and it was worth every second of waiting (for those who know;). It is not just a great TV, but a beautiful one as well. Looks like a black slab on a metal stand. 46 inches of no input lag for gaming (xbox 360, Wii and Playstation 3) and high resolution movie viewing (on the Popcorn Hour A200 and Sony Bluray).
Thanks again mom!
(yeah the room is a mess, gotta dump all the old boxes out since my last toy acquisition and the beginning of summer)

Mesmerizing! The Greatest Lego Machine!
This is the greatest Lego build I've ever seen. As the title says, its "Mesmerizing". I can't stop watching the machines get their thing on!
All my lego castles and rocket ships are now relegated to actual toys because of this awesome machine!

Sad
I'm just depressed right now. I don't know why. I feel alone.
Its pretty late.
I think its part of being very tired while having people get mad at you constantly.
That was a tiring meeting for my thesis.
Thank God for My Name is Earl, its such a good hearted series everyone should watch. Its a comedy about Earl Hickey and the day he realized karma mattered and started paying back everyone he has ever hurt.
It would be awesome if I could watch it from this:

Aldo Loafers
I was never into Aldo shoes. I did not know much about them.
Until I walked into one with Miggie while she tried on some heels.
I ended up getting these brown loafers. They wear great with jeans and slacks and give me something to wear on a daily basis that is not a Sanuk or a black leather shoe.

Old iPod Could Have been an iPad
One of my first iPods could have very well been an iPad at it's old price of 27 thousand which back then was about four hundred fifty US dollars.
Just a trip down memory lane while cleaning my pile of tech boxes.
